[On this particularly blustery day, Pascal is lounging around in the library and making a general mess of the area around her. There are books laid out all over the table she's sat at, some piled up close by on the floor, everywhere. Even then she keeps getting up to find some other book to add to her collection. Most of the books she's reading through follow the theme of today's weather. Be it wind socks, wind surfing, anemometers, windmills, whatever, she's likely found a book on it. There's one particular book the she's so fully engrossed in that she doesn't even notice when a stack of books slips of the table.

Flying a kite sounds like a blast! There are so many different kinds of kites with different designs to them out there. To Pascal it seems like a great way to make the best out of the weather. Now she could just go and look for a kite in the item shop and see what comes up, but where's the fun in that? She's going to make her own. She makes a few trips to the item shop for some craft supplies, bring her haul back to the library so she can start her work (and make even more of a mess than before).]

[With her work soon finished, Pascal can be found testing out her kite in the plaza. She's running around all over the place, waving her arms like a madwoman in an attempt to get her kite to take off.]

C'mon, you can do it! Three, two, one, go go go!! [We have lift off! Pascal's excitement is short lived however as a particularly strong gust of wind sends the kite swerving downwards, causing it to crash into the ground not long after it took off. Wooden canes and construction paper everywhere.] Aw bananas, the wind completely totaled it... Oh well! [That was just a test flight anyway. Time to make another one!]

[Finally, in the afternoon, Pascal has finished her second kite and has managed to get it airborne. This isn't just any normal box kite though. There are two strings leading from the kite, one is used to keep the kite under control and the other is a pullstring. When Pascal yanks down on the pullstring, confetti starts spilling out of the kite! The wind helps in spreading the confetti around, effectively showering the plaza with multicoloured paper. Hopefully the colourful display will help cheer a few people up, especially given the draft from not too long ago and the number of entries she's seen about people going home over the journals.

While the confetti pouring out of the sky looks impressive, it's going to look a lot less interesting when it's piled up on the ground and being blown all over the place. The books and remaining craft supplies she left in the library don't look all that great either. She should probably figure out how she's going to clean everything up. Maybe. At some point. Later... Feel free to run into Pascal at any point during her day, from messing up the library to flying her kites!]

[Ewan happens to be walking by and is totally dazzled by what he sees. That's amazing! No, more than amazing! The most amazing non-magic thing ever!]

Pretty neat, huh? It's like it's raining, only no one can complain about gettin' wet!

Yeah! How'd you learn to make it do that?

By going to the library and reading stuff. They have whole books on these fly-y kite things! There are like a bazillion different kites out there that are all different shapes and sizes!

[Which makes her tempted to try making her own themed kite on the next windy day.]

So anyone can learn how to make them? And make them do such neat things?

[Here Cecil was, minding his own business and looking down at his grocery list, when he suddenly found himself covered in confetti. Why is he covered in confetti?]

...Are we due for another experiment already?

[Well it's certainly some kind of experiment! Experimenting with flying different kites is totally a legit experiment.]

Nope, not yet! This one is all the work of ol' Pascal.

[Ah, a familiar voice. He turns around to look for her.]

Well, that's certainly reassuring. Are you decorating the plaza for a special occasion?

That's a double nope. But if anyone thinks I'm decorating for some reason or another and gets all happy over it then that's a huge bonus!

[With a free hand she waves Cecil over when he looks in her direction.]

[Ah, there she is. He approaches with a smile.]

Is this a new game, then? Find a specially-colored confetti as quickly as possible?

[And then a kite crashed at his feet. It splinters and generally is fluked up. Garrosh, in a muscle shirt and pants with a one handed axe at his side, looks down at it and then traces the origin to- ... Pascal. He narrows his eyes, reminded of the weirdness over. Valentines]

[Valentines was pretty weird, yeah, but Pascal carries on acting like she usually does.]

Whoah, that came so close it probably grazed your nose! I wonder if it would be less kasmashed if it landed on your head or something... [She starts reeling in the remains of the kite and then goes about picking up any broken pieces she can find.]

If if had landed on my head, you might not have yours, woman!

[He says this defensively. Well, actually offensively, but it's just a defensive strategy to deal with not knowing how to handle the valentines thing. He just points at her dramatically as he says this]

Nah, both our heads would've been fine. Your head is like... [Softer? Would he take offense to that? Probably. Hmm.] Your head is way better than the ground, so it might not have ended up being smashed up too badly at all.

[She completely misses the dramatic pointing, being far too absorbed in her kite recovery process. A lot of the paper ended up ripping and one of the canes broke, but she can just salvage the broken remains into a new, more awesome kite.]

I know that my head is softer than the Earth, so of course it wouldn't break, but you wouldn't be as lucky! The insult of a kite falling on my head-!

[Even he knows he's being ridiculous, but he's really off base right now, because as he is trying to boast and rant, he' looking her over trying to find what he thought was attractive about her at that time. And he can't seem to see it.]

[Well, having confetti showing over you is definitely one way to be cheered up! Not that Diamond wasn't in a good mood before despite the nightmares plaguing him every so often but it's really nice to see all the colors... Even when they're sticking to his Torterra, his big tree a nice display.

Not that Wig minds. He kind of likes them and shakes his tree gently to let them cascade down on his laying trainer.]

That's really cool, miss, how did you get the confetti to come out like that? It's really the month to fly kites though isn't it... I wonder if Missy'd be interested in flying one with me.

Aww, thanks! It was really easy, you just hafta-- [GIANT TURTLE WITH A TREE ON IT.] Dude, your Turtlez Transport has a garden growing out of its back! That's so awesome, I didn't even know you could do that, it must be super heavy!

[A giant turtle with a tree on its back completely trumps her kite, or any kite. In fact this probably trumps a lot of things. Turtlez Gardens...]

[Turtlez Transport? That sounds exciting! Even if it's not what Wig is.]

Wig's really heavy! But he's not a Transport, he's a Torterra. Want to come up? He wouldn't mind if you wanted to see everything. [He pats Wig's back in a friendly manner. She's definitely welcome to check him out! Plus he's got like a miniature mountain range on the other side or something? Looks like a bunch of rocky spikes to be honest.]

[Wait, it would be a Turtlez Gardenz, not Gardens. But that doesn't go with the other T, the alliteration is what makes it sound so cool! ...What was that about wanting to go up? Heck yeah she wants up!]

Y'okay, I'm comin' up! [Uh. Kite.] Here, hold onto this for just a sec.

[She quickly pushes the string of the kite into Diamond's hands and starts clambering up onto the Torterra's back.]

[Wig lets her, and Diamond'll happily hold her kite. Hee kite flying!! He's definitely going to do this next windy day! And he'll give it back of course, if she wants it.]

It's said that Torterra can support a lot of Pokémon living on its back, but there's only birds and some squirrels that come by right now. He'll be in a business when it really warms up.

[One of the birds making home in Wig's branches tweets in response. Yeah.]

[When Luke spots Pascal in the plaza, he sprints back to the house, then returns more slowly, still winded, but with a package in his hands.

Then he watches her fly the kite for a while. For a given definition of flying, anyway.]

Hey! Pascal!

Oh hey, it's Luke! What's shakin' today dude?

[She starts to sidestep over towards Luke, keeping her eyes on the kite as she does so to make sure it doesn't crash and burn like her last one did.]

Not- not much really. [This is already a bit awkward and kind of the good sort of embarrassing. But. He did this and now he's got to follow through!]

What sort of kite is that?

Box kite, y'know, 'cause it looks like a big ol' box floating in the air. Or two boxes stuck together, depending on how you want to look at it!

[Either way, yup, definitely a box kite.] Pretty cool, huh?

[When he tries to gesture, he notices the box still in his hands and turns red again.] Um, here, this is for you.
