[On this particularly blustery day, Pascal is lounging around in the library and making a general mess of the area around her. There are books laid out all over the table she's sat at, some piled up close by on the floor, everywhere. Even then she keeps getting up to find some other book to add to her collection. Most of the books she's reading through follow the theme of today's weather. Be it wind socks, wind surfing, anemometers, windmills, whatever, she's likely found a book on it. There's one particular book the she's so fully engrossed in that she doesn't even notice when a stack of books slips of the table.
Flying a kite sounds like a blast! There are so many different kinds of kites with different designs to them out there. To Pascal it seems like a great way to make the best out of the weather. Now she could just go and look for a kite in the item shop and see what comes up, but where's the fun in that? She's going to make her own. She makes a few trips to the item shop for some craft supplies, bring her haul back to the library so she can start her work (and make even more of a mess than before).]
[With her work soon finished, Pascal can be found testing out her kite in the plaza. She's running around all over the place, waving her arms like a madwoman in an attempt to get her kite to take off.]
C'mon, you can do it! Three, two, one, go go go!! [We have lift off! Pascal's excitement is short lived however as a particularly strong gust of wind sends the kite swerving downwards, causing it to crash into the ground not long after it took off. Wooden canes and construction paper everywhere.] Aw bananas, the wind completely totaled it... Oh well! [That was just a test flight anyway. Time to make another one!]
-
[Finally, in the afternoon, Pascal has finished her second kite and has managed to get it airborne. This isn't just any normal box kite though. There are two strings leading from the kite, one is used to keep the kite under control and the other is a pullstring. When Pascal yanks down on the pullstring, confetti starts spilling out of the kite! The wind helps in spreading the confetti around, effectively showering the plaza with multicoloured paper. Hopefully the colourful display will help cheer a few people up, especially given the draft from not too long ago and the number of entries she's seen about people going home over the journals.
While the confetti pouring out of the sky looks impressive, it's going to look a lot less interesting when it's piled up on the ground and being blown all over the place. The books and remaining craft supplies she left in the library don't look all that great either. She should probably figure out how she's going to clean everything up. Maybe. At some point. Later... Feel free to run into Pascal at any point during her day, from messing up the library to flying her kites!]

[But if that's still not it...]
Were you testing a theoritical airship bombardment with your kite?
no subject
[If confetti based games happen then Cecil should brace himself for the most amusing and intense game ever. Pascal takes a moment to concentrate on her kite for a second before going on.]
Nah, if I was gonna do something like that then there's no way this little guy would cut it. I'd hafta make a kite shaped like a real shuttle, or an airship, or even a helicopter! It would seem kinda weird bombarding stuff with a kite kite, y'know?
no subject
[Eye-catching is the most polite way he can put it.]
no subject
[Granted she didn't know much of anything about kites until today, but most of the pictures and diagrams she's seen show kites with bright, interesting designs. A lot of them looked far more gaudy than her kite.]
It's gotta stand out and make you look up at it, like one big 'wow' in kite form!
no subject
[Neither of those options would surprise him.]
no subject
[There's more to kite building than that, but to Pascal that explanation will be just fine for now.]
I bet even you could pull off somethin' like this!
no subject
I could probably manage a decent attempt, if I tried. It cannot be too different from adjusting an airship's sails to get the most out of the wind, yes?
no subject
no subject
[Ah, Cecil, so innocently certain that everyone leaves the library spotless.]
no subject
[Going home or at least somewhere else where people won't be trying to read in peace would be silly when she has everything she needs in one place!]
no subject
[The shame! The horror! The mess!]
The librarians might have taken them away, by now. Or other visitors, for that matter.
no subject
[So she could make more kites. Not so she could clean everything up.]
no subject
[That's hoping for too much, isn't it.]
no subject
[She might be missing the point, just slightly.]
no subject
no subject
[That said, Pascal starts reeling in the kite.]
no subject
[He doesn't see anyone preparing a bonfire with craft supplies nearby, thankfully.]
no subject
So, with the kite reeled in it's time to venture into the library! Now you're generally meant to be quiet in libraries, but, well...]
Oh kite stuff that I left around here somewhere, come out come out wherever you aaare!
no subject
[But when he starts looking around the shelves, he does so with a smile.]
no subject
[Bah. Someone moved her stuff after all. That sucks.]
no subject
If you're lucky, they might have merely put it aside to clear some room for readers. Perhaps someone else in the room knows where?
no subject
[In the noisiest and most disruptive way she can manage.]
Hey guys, anyone see any stuff around here?! There was this really thick paper, wooden cane things, all sorts of cool stuff!
no subject
[He doesn't even bother to tell her to do it more quietly, even if he's looking out for angry readers armed with books.]
no subject
[Or was it even that table? Man these things should be labeled or something.]
Bzzt, false alarm, our table has gotta be somewhere else.
no subject
Well, that's certainly a relief. Not having to track everything down would make our lives much easier.
