[On this particularly blustery day, Pascal is lounging around in the library and making a general mess of the area around her. There are books laid out all over the table she's sat at, some piled up close by on the floor, everywhere. Even then she keeps getting up to find some other book to add to her collection. Most of the books she's reading through follow the theme of today's weather. Be it wind socks, wind surfing, anemometers, windmills, whatever, she's likely found a book on it. There's one particular book the she's so fully engrossed in that she doesn't even notice when a stack of books slips of the table.
Flying a kite sounds like a blast! There are so many different kinds of kites with different designs to them out there. To Pascal it seems like a great way to make the best out of the weather. Now she could just go and look for a kite in the item shop and see what comes up, but where's the fun in that? She's going to make her own. She makes a few trips to the item shop for some craft supplies, bring her haul back to the library so she can start her work (and make even more of a mess than before).]
[With her work soon finished, Pascal can be found testing out her kite in the plaza. She's running around all over the place, waving her arms like a madwoman in an attempt to get her kite to take off.]
C'mon, you can do it! Three, two, one, go go go!! [We have lift off! Pascal's excitement is short lived however as a particularly strong gust of wind sends the kite swerving downwards, causing it to crash into the ground not long after it took off. Wooden canes and construction paper everywhere.] Aw bananas, the wind completely totaled it... Oh well! [That was just a test flight anyway. Time to make another one!]
-
[Finally, in the afternoon, Pascal has finished her second kite and has managed to get it airborne. This isn't just any normal box kite though. There are two strings leading from the kite, one is used to keep the kite under control and the other is a pullstring. When Pascal yanks down on the pullstring, confetti starts spilling out of the kite! The wind helps in spreading the confetti around, effectively showering the plaza with multicoloured paper. Hopefully the colourful display will help cheer a few people up, especially given the draft from not too long ago and the number of entries she's seen about people going home over the journals.
While the confetti pouring out of the sky looks impressive, it's going to look a lot less interesting when it's piled up on the ground and being blown all over the place. The books and remaining craft supplies she left in the library don't look all that great either. She should probably figure out how she's going to clean everything up. Maybe. At some point. Later... Feel free to run into Pascal at any point during her day, from messing up the library to flying her kites!]

[She looks up to ask the question while still flipping through the book in her hand for some other record.]
no subject
[As he speaks, he keeps looking for her supplies. It's not going well.]
no subject
[There are certainly some large, bird like monsters, but those aren't exactly rideable. Oh, maybe there's something about birds in this book.]
Ooh, here ya go! The largest bird ever is the elephant bird, and that's like eleven feet tall.
[Eh, that's pretty big... What was she looking for again?]
no subject
[Supplies, supplies, where are youuuu?]
no subject
[Talk about a misleading name. It sort of looks like a huge emu. Cecil what are you doing? Come and take a look at this giant bird picture!]
no subject
[Oh hell, he's way overthinking this.]
Were all of your supplies yellow, or should I look for other colors?
no subject
[Since they've apparently gone extinct, according to the book. It must suck to be a bird without the whole flying thing going for you... Wait, supplies? Oh!]
Uhuh, yeah, lotsa yellow! There were some other colours and stuff in there too. Ooh, and there was some wood and other bits and pieces to hold it all together, you know?
no subject
[Ah, relevant information! ...Somewhat.]
I see a yellow book on this side, but I doubt it was part of your pile...
no subject
[Right. Finding supplies. Uncovering the mysteries of the elephant bird can come another time. Pascal slams the book closed and slips it under her arm, she's definitely borrowing this one they're done.]
The yellow stuff was more the constructy paper and less the books and other reading stuff I was using. I'll go take a looksee over there!
no subject
[Thus he moves on to the next row, with a sneeze barely escaping him as he moves.]
no subject
[Plus if her workspace was dusty she would have ended up doodling pictures in the dust with her finger or something like that.
She's looking for her supplies now, really, but when she hears Cecil almost let the dust get to him she can't help but quick flip the book open, read up on something and flip it shut again.]
The most ever consecutive sneezes goes to this one girl who sneezed for way over nine hundred days!
no subject
[Okay, that's definitely more important than a few pieces of construction paper.]
That's almost three years! How could anyone possibly sneeze so often for so long?
no subject
[Shrug. She could reopen the book and see what the deal with that poor girl was, but now she's set on finding her construction paper. It doesn't seem as though looking on the shelves is revealing much, so Pascal drops down onto her hands and knees to look around on the floor.]
no subject
[Because the glue he just found is not.]
no subject
Mmmyep, totally one hundred percent spider-free! Didja really just find a bottle of glue bursting with spiders?
[That's... Kind of neat, actually.]
no subject
[The truth is not nearly as interesting as that particular image, sadly.]
no subject
Guess not. Poor spider dudes getting all sticky and not unsticking themselves.
[Resuming her crawling about on the floor, Pascal finds herself under a table.]
I'm starting to think all my supplies just up and left, or they got invisi-shifted by the Malnoguys.
[It could happen.]
no subject
[Even for a spider. Or a half-spider woman that spams Quake.]
I doubt the Malnosso disapprove of kites that much, though they might dislike messiness.
no subject
[No. It was that messy. Like a little bomb went off containing parts for making a kite.]
Aww well, guess that means I get to grab all the parts all over again the next time I wanna whip up a kite!
no subject
[Yes, he kinda doubts that part, for some reason.]
There's an art club in the village. They should have the supplies for it, even if the shops might run out.
no subject
Maaaybe I could drop on by and nab a few pieces. Then I can just mosey on over to the other stores for all the heavy duty kite things I need, if they're around! Yeah, that could work.
no subject
no subject
no subject
[Wouldn't that be a funny coincidence?]
no subject
[It's windy. Better do something and make the most of it. Make some kites? Perfect!]
If they just borrowed it or whatever then they'll hafta dump it back here at some point!
